It was the best end to 2017 that we could have hoped for at Bay Events! We knew that the NYE edition of Sunday Sessions was going to kick things up a notch and when the weather turned it on for the occasion we watched as the locals poured into the beautiful grounds of The Briars once again.
With a whopping 1,200 attending throughout the sunny day, the energy was a buzz and it seemed that those people wanting to stay local for the NYE celebrations were there to make the most of the local live entertainment, activities, food and friendly atmosphere.
The kid’s craft area was back again and stayed very busy all day with 400 kids designing and making their own special NYE masks!
The kids disco with DJ Smally Big and 2 Pac was a standout that got all the young ones dancing and created a new type of energy that was perfect for the family friendly event. The kids disco will now become a regular part of the Sunday Sessions line-up.
A big thank you to Josephine’s for letting us once again hold the Sunday Sessions in their beautiful gardens. The restaurant’s staff also put on an amazing spit roast for the event that helped keep the hungry masses happy.
Thank you also to The Rotary Club of Mornington for their continued support and help with parking for our events. With attendance numbers continuing to grow, these guys allow traffic in and out of the Briars to stay manageable which helps us to keep putting on these local events for everyone to enjoy.
Sunday Sessions will be back in full force this coming January 28th (Australia Day weekend)! We look forward to hosting everyone again, those families and friends who’ve become regulars at the events and those yet to discover the fun of Sunday Sessions at The Briars.
